After waiting for months since August, I finally received back pay from when I had originally become unemployed, late March. Unfortunately, this backpay exhausted my entire claim balance and 3 weeks were marked "Unpaid." Since then, the extension had kicked in and I was told by a representative on the phone that they will put in a request to "transfer" 3 weeks from my extension to my original week so I can have those weeks paid (including the additional $300.) This was back in November, and I am still waiting. Calling EDD back results in constant "This is still being reviewed" answers.
I am wondering if anyone else has had any experience with this and if there is anything I can do to make it happen. Thank you very much!
ALSO, my first two $600 payments from the beginning of April for some reason said NOT PAID for months, for no apparent reason. I never received those payments though I was owed them and there was a record of me having certified for those weeks. I spoke to several adjuster who thought I was crazy. They weren't seeing what I was seeing. They kept saying "we see that you received them". I said NO, I did not, I can prove it with my bank statements. They did not relent. I had to call three different times until I reached someone who was willing to admit it could be a technical error and he would tell tech support. It turned out that was the right call! It was a technical error and they could see I was never paid those amounts. That may be the case for you. You may have to mention that to whoever you talk to. I've spoken with many adjusters who are new or are experiencing things they've never experienced before who say "I've never seen this issue. I didn't know an error like that was possible" etc.
