I've been working a few freelance jobs and would like to know the proper way to report the income on my weekly certifications. When I say "yes" to the question if I've earned income whether I've received it or not, it takes me to to a page where it asks you to enter your employer's ID number. I input how much money I earned, and then it asks "what is your employment status?" - I'm still unemployed so I just select the option that best describes me, correct?
Secondly, it asks you "what is the last day you worked for this employer?" I freelance for them week by week. I put the date on the last certification I did, but then I received a notice in the mail that they opened an unemployment claim for me for that employer!!! They are not my employer? I am so confused. Help!!
