I have been calling and emailing them for months and haven't had a chance to speak with a human yet and no one has replied to any of my messages sent through the system.
I am locked out because I can not remember my security questions. I call all day. I am going to lose my home if I do not get through. Laid off after 25 years
The only way I got through, after the second time, was through a service called CLAIMYR. Go to their Facebook page to read more info. My friend who is also on UI found out about them and told me about it, so I tried them and they got through and I was able to speak to an agent that day and she was able to fix my account. Until that time, I tried for months and even when I was lucky enough to get through in April that operator couldn’t help me so she got two supervisors on it and they couldn’t figure it ou.t. She did call me back but after the EDD fixed the computer system that allowed many of us to reapply she probably thought that fixed my issue. It did allow me to reapply but my account was still the same and I couldn’t do anything. And from May onward I tried to call back but I had no luck until the end of June when my friend told me about Claimyr.
I haven't either. This morning I got close and I was excited but when the person finally answered my call it was from the tax department of EDD and could only answer tax questions regarding UI. I have no idea how I got connected to that department because there was no option given to get to the tax question department. And of course, she couldn't directly patch my call through to the right department so I ended up back at the recording line and went through the prompts this was at 8:15 am. It is now 2:16pm and I've been calling pretty much 15-20 times every hour since then. And so far no luck.
I've called multiple times. The wait times are infuriating, but eventually you'll get through. Try calling as of 8:01am and weekends are usually shorter wait times. Once I can actually get in the cue and on hold, I put the call on speaker and go about my business in my house. The other day I actually showered while on hold as I knew I'd be done before anyone actually picked up. If you need a Tier 2 Specialist - ask to be put in that cue right away as you'll need to hold a long time to get someone and you don't want to waste your time with a Tier 1 person who won't be able to help you. Start calling early, you'll have better luck. You can get through, you just need persistence, time and patience. Good luck!

BTW, if you can't certify online for whatever reason the automated phone number doesn't work and just takes you back to the regular phone number.
