I have an existing claim as a Wage Earner on Extension. My benefit year ends on April 5th 2021. I am waiting for EDD to automatically file an extension and it has been two to three weeks with this on my screen and only one message in my inbox stating I do not have to do anything they will file for the extension if I qualify. I have not gotten anything in the mail and I do not want to have to file another claim. What do I do next? I have tried to call with no avail. I am at home with my three young children and cannot work.
I have been waiting since 2/28/21 that was last payment after that I had the same screen as screenshot above $0 Benefit Amount and notice of benefit year end I reapplied waited 7 weeks called they said well we will apply for you over the phone since you are a W-2 worker you should be able to certify in 24 hours and 7 more weeks no change finally after getting through on phone after days was hung up on so I contacted my local assembly man I filled out a ready made application on their website for this specific unemployment problem about 2 weeks ago. Fast forward to Today they managed to change the screen completely only text and white background I did notice before the change it said claim 1/05/20 - 1/05/21 However now the new home page says 1/05/21 - Extension I take it this means I dont have to file. Please let me know if I file call, but I have done both multiple times I dont want to do it if it is going to cause a delay I would like to get my benefits before I run out of things to sell on ebay. Next is my apartment oh wait I dont own it so it is out in the street
