I need to report fraud. Someone I know has moved out of state and is still collecting CA unemployment benefits and stimulus. I tried calling which directs me to online where I was able to report the fraud but have not received notice back. I have a copy of this persons new out of state DL where I would also like to upload. Unemployment is based off a period of time (last 18 months prior to applying). This person sounds like their base period was work that was done in California since they have a CA claim. Once they move, their unemployment benefits should be still CA until that claim expires. Then they can renew a claim in the current state they live if most of their wages are from their new state. This is not considered fraud.
