Last march I was denied unemployment due to being self employed. Then when the PUA became available I had trouble with my account using my original email. I ended up using a second email address that i use to set up a new login for my account. I was granted PUA payments going back to March. I have always used the second email address and password to login and manage my account since then. Then in Jan I received the suspension of claim at my original email address not at the second address. I have never certified for any weeks with the original email address nor have I ever received any payments credited to the original email address. My account that I have been certifying and getting paid since last year is the second email address I used and I have never had that account suspended nor I have been asked to verify my ID for the account that I have been getting paid. All of my personal information, address, ssn everything is the same for me for both logins. I can't get anyone at the EDD on the phone. My question is do I go ahead and verify my ID for the login account that I don't use?
Thanks
Thanks. That was my thinking too
I don't think you should verify the account that you don't use... I kind of think that would cause more problems. If you verify that one it will seem like the other account is actually the fraudulent one. I would keep trying now and again to see if you can call to merge, but I wouldn't verify the inactive account.
