I haven't been paid since early March and already reapplied and got new benefit amount award letter. Anyone else in the same boat? I've been certifying ever since but no pay. Wondering if that's normal.
I am in the same boat. Edd.gov was letting me certify on my old claim for 3 weeks online, even though I had reached my year and was supposed to refile. It took three weeks to realize they were pending and weren’t being processed because I had to refile.
I finally realized the payments were “pending” because I hadn't submitted a new claim. So after 3 weeks of certifying on the old claim, I filed for a new claim & got physical mail with a new card and new certifying papers.
Questions: My weekly payment went down from $450 to $347, though I've been unemployed the same as in 2020 (my first claim). Can I contest this?
2.) Will I ever get back the 3 weeks that I certified on the old claim if I start doing the new claim? Should I try calling?
3.) Should I start mailing in the claim paper work instead of using UI ONLINE? UI online only has the old claim info and now it has 5 weeks “pending”.
4.) Has anyone who filed a new claim seen it update on the website, I’ve only received correspondence by mail?
@chrisreichertpr I also used the service that MotherOfAvaLex used. That was the only way I got through. The rep helped fix my account and now I am current. I wrote about the experience in this thread:
Go to June 19th to read the relevant information. I know that Unemployment Gurus don't want any of us to provide information on outside sources like claimyr but many of us are/were at the end of the line and couldn't wait any longer. I'm sure this is to cut down on scams and the like, so I wish that UG reaches out to claimyr to verify for themselves that it is legitimate and can provide assistance. The EDD is still not answering calls nor answering emails so our options are limited.
