I was instructed to file a new claim since I have exhausted my unemp as of Dec 2020 and that my claim would go through the process and since I probably wouldn't get anything from CA it would go into the federal extension pile - their words - and I would hear back. I work as a costumer and finished my last job 10/12/2019. I came to the "disaster" part of the claim and didn't really know how to fill it out. I was not working at the time of the shutdown but was waiting to hear about the show being picked up which obviously didn't happen during 2020. I was hesitant to put in my last day of work because it was before the shutdown, but obviously couldn't work as a direct result of covid. What is the best way to answer the questions in that part of the claim? Do you put in your last date of work and hope they realize you couldn't get anymore work because of covid?
